You’ve probably heard the phrase, “work hard, play hard.” Maybe you’ve even wondered, “what does that really mean?”
For me, when I push myself at work and give it my absolute best, I find my energy levels jump up. I’m motivated and pumped to go enjoy a favorite hobby. I feel on top of the world! 😍💪

The saying has been floating around for ages, but now there’s study-based evidence showing that people who push themselves hard at work typically enjoy their hobbies far more as a result.
The question is, how do people reach that level of output? Is it natural or learned behavior?
The study suggests it’s a bit of both, and I believe that to be true. In fact, this mentality is something I learned a few years ago while working at Cutco Cutlery!
Improving my productivity was one learned behavior that gave me the tools to excel at work and allowed more free time to play hard after work.
What’s your favorite hobby to enjoy during your free time? Use that as motivation to boost your productivity and kill it at the office, then go enjoy that favorite activity. You’ve EARNED it! 🙌
